what is the difference between conduction and induction?

 Dear student, 

The potential itself does not harm you. But if there is a large potential, then the current (ampere) flowing through will also be large. If the current flowing through is high enough, it can disrupt with the electrical system of the heart, which can be fatal. If you touch a high voltage device when the power is off, it will not harm you. But if current in flowing through it, it can kill you.

Conduction is a process of static electricity when energy is able to flow from one object to another when they are touching.

Induction is a process of static electricity when energy is able to flow from one object to another without touching.

Conduction refers to the the flow of protons or electrons from an electrically charged body to an electrically neutral one. It requires contact . There is a loss of electrical charge ( amperes) in the body passing the charges . It results in a similar charge being formed on the other body. Induction refers to the realignment of an electrically neutral body when a charged one is brought near it. An opposite charge is formed on the neutral body . No contact is needed . There is no loss of electrical charge in the body.
