What is the difference between conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions
A Conjunction is a word which joins together sentences, and sometimes words.
Instances of the same are: and, but, because, etc.
Subordinating conjunction is a type of conjunction which joins a clause to another on which it depends for its full meaning.
Instances of the same are:

I do not know how you will arrive?
Make hay while the sun shines.
I know not why he left us.
