What is the difference between connective tissue proper and ligaments?

Dear student,
Connective tissues are tissues found in animals which serve the purpose of connecting different organs.
Connective tissues consist of loosely spaced cells embedded in an intercellular matrix.
Eg :- Blood, areolar tissue, adipose tissue, compact bone and hyaline cartilage.

Ligaments are connective tissue that connects two bones. They are very elastic and flexible. It contain very less matrix and composed of yellow fibrous connective tissue.
