What is the difference between daily wage workers and regularly hired workers

Dear Student,

Daily Wage Workers: Those who are hired on daily basis by their employers and who work for daily wages. These are not hired on regular basis and they do not work throughout the year. These individuals are often unskilled workers. These are deprived of the benefits of social security like provident fund, etc. For example: labour working at construction site.

Regular Workers: Those who are hired on permanent basis. These are skilled labourers and also entitled for social security like provident fund, etc. For example: manager working in a company
