What is the difference between delta x/delta t and dx/dt ?

Delta signifies the small change in a variable or quantity. Eg. Δp means change in the momentum. 
Here, $\frac{\Delta x}{\Delta t} = \frac{small change in position}{small change in time interval}$
where, $\frac{dx}{dt}$ represents derivative of x with respect to t.
