what is the difference between dense regular and dense irregular connective tissuee....???????? plz answer fastt

Dense Regular Connective Tissue

Dense Irregular Connective Tissue

It has dark staining collagen fibers.

Collagen fibers are not dark staining.

Fibers run parallel.

Fibers are not parallel.

These tissues are found in ligaments and tendons.

These tissues are found in the dermis of the skin.

The bundles of collagen fibers are arranged in a definite pattern.

The bundles are arranged without any orientation.

The fibers can be stretched in same direction.

The fibers can be stretched in any direction

Dense regular  connective tissue is that wherein the collagen and the elastin fibres are placed parallel to each other an dense irregular when the fibres are placd anyhow......

hope it helps u.....swetha...:)

Dense regular tissue

1)Dense regular has dark-staining collagen fibers

2)collagen and elastic fibres are placed parallel to each other

3)The collagen fibres of this tissue are
alligned with the linear orientation of fibroblasts (skin cells) in response to
stresses exerted in the same direction; they consequently offer great
resistance to traction forces.

4)Dense regular can be found in ligaments and tendons (i.e. white fibrous tissue).

5)It provides connections between bone-to-bone and muscle-to-bone

Dense irregular tissue

1)Dense irregular is not dark-staining,

2)the collagen fibers aren't parallel.

3)The structure of the fibers allows support from many directions.

4) Dense irregular is found in the dermis of the skin.
