What is the difference between force and weight?

Dear Student,

Weight Force
The weight of an object is defined as the force of gravity on the object. Force is a measure of the interaction between bodies. It can cause to change the velocity of an object.
It is calculated as the mass multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity, w = mg. It is calculated as the mass multiplied by the acceleration, F = ma.
The weight is a force; therefore, SI unit is Newton. Force, SI unit is Newton.
