WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GROUND WATER AND SURFACE WATER?

The water which is found beneath the surface of earth at some depth is called as ground water while the water body which  can be seen on the surface of earth such as ponds, lakes, rivers etc. is known as surface water.
