WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PHOSPHOANHYDRIDE BOND AND PHOSPHODIESTER BOND ??

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query

Phosphoanhydride bond is a high energy bond that links the phosphate groups together. For example the bond present between the phosphate groups in ATP.

The bond formed between the sugar and the phosphate group is a phosphoester bond. When this phosphate group forms a bond with another hydroxyl group of a sugar molecule, it is called phosphodiester bond (two ester bonds are involved).

The phosphate group here forms a diester bond.
