• Rh factor or Rhesus factor is a type of antigen present in the red blood cells of around 85% of total population.
• Individuals with Rh antigens present on RBCs are Rh positive and those without it are Rh negative. Rh+ blood cannot be given to a patient having Rh- blood. Rh- blood can be given to a patient having Rh+ blood.
