what is the difference between stimulus generalization and stimulus discrimination?

Stimulus generalization is a process of concept formation which helps in the formation of concepts of the concrete objects like table, chair etc, whereas stimulus discrimination refers to the discrimination of the dissimilar things while we are forming the concept of a particular thing, i.e , striking the similarities between things of same class and discriminating the dissimilar things and thus forming a concept of a particular thing.
