Hey there! The force of magnetism = q(v*b) is defined for a point charge q moving in the magnetic field b with a velocity v. On the other hand, the force = ILB , it is the force of magnetism on a current carrying straight rod of length l, carrying a current I in magnetic field b. Hope this helps! :)
