what is the difference between the images formed on a new utensil and an old one?
why is the difference observed?

Dear Student,
New utensils are having a very reflective surfaces which are flat as well as scratch free and because of this reason light bounces
back equally in all the direction and hence forming a crisp and clear image on the other hand old utensils have rust on its surfaces due to which it becomes dull and less reflective .And it also has scratches that tends to reflect light in a particular direction and hence making less clear images.

Hope, you will find this answer helpful.
