What is the difference between the word'effecting'and the word 'affecting'??

'Effect' can be defined as the result or consequence whereas 'affect' means to have an influence on something or someone.

Example - The effect of extreme heat is seen in the withering of plants.

The ill-health of her parents has affected her resulted.
