What is the difference between turtle and tortoise

Dear Student,

Turtles have more adjusted and domed shells where turtles have more slender, more water-dynamic shells. Turtle shells are more smoothed out to help in swimming. One significant key contrast is that tortoises invest a large portion of their energy ashore and turtles are adjusted for life spent in water.
Turtles are for the most part bigger than tortoises. The biggest turtle is the leatherback turtle.  Since turtles and tortoises are reptiles, they need outside strategies to keep their internal heat level managed.
Bigger species, for example, ocean turtles are assessed to live around 80 years. The goliath tortoise, the biggest of all land turtles, regularly inhabits least a century. Some have even been known to live for over 200 years.

Regards.
