What is the Effect of deforestation on water cycle ?
Hi,
Here is the answer:
Due to deforestation, the number of trees deceases. If the number of trees decreases, then the transpiration decreases. If transpiration decreases, then water vapour in the atmosphere also decreases to some extent. If water vapour decreases to some extent day-by-day, then we would get less rainfall as if vapour decreases then the clouds takes time to form. If the vapour decreases also the amount of water in condensation would decrease. If water formation decreases, then we have to wait for rainfall for longer time. This would also decrease the ground water level. Thus, again if water level decreases, the transpiration by the trees would also be less. Again the lack of vapour through transpiration would exist, side - by - side, also deforestation takes place. And, gradually, the water cycle, living life would be affected greatly.
Cheers!!
