What is the equivalent resistance between A and B in the network of resistance? Find the current through 12 ohm resistor.ANS- 5 ohm , 0.5A
PLEASE EXPLAIN

Answer given by your friend utkarsh is correct.Now current in the circuitI = 10/5 = 2ACurrent across 12 and 4 ohm branch = 2Avoltage across this branch = V = 3×2 = 6 voltcurrent across 12 oh = 6/12 = 0.5 A

We see 4 and 12 ohm resistors are in parallel
Then we solve, R = 3 ohm
We see 3 and 6 ohm resistors are in parallel
Then we solve, R = 2 ohm
Now, Both resistors are in series.
So R = 3 + 2 = 5 ohms
