What is the format of Story Writing?
- A story has a beginning, a middle and an end. First think of the genre of your story: thriller, mystery, tragedy, comedy, etc.
- Decide the characters and their relations with each other. Choose a protagonist, antagonist, etc.
- The style of writing has to be thought about carefully: first person or third person narrative, autobiographical, etc.
- The beginning must be gripping and the story line should proceed logically.
- Use the writer's 'licence' to mould or distort some facts if you desire!
- A new idea can be introduced in a new paragraph.
- Include conversation between characters, keep the plot moving at a good pace.
- Do not be repetitive, unless to emphasise an important element.
