What is the function of an IgE type antibodies?

Antibodies are special chemicals produced by the body to fight the disease-causing microbes that enter the body.  The different types of antibodies are  IgA, IgE, IgG, IgM, and IgD.​​​​​​
IgE- Is the least common serum Immunoglobin Involved in allergic reactions.
