What is the importance of insolation. (Geography)Chp INSOLATION

Dear Student,
Insolation is the amount of solar energy received by the earth.
It is important because:
1)Insolation divides the earth into various heat zones.
2) Differences of insolation on earth cause a change in our weather and regulate our climate.
3) Changes in times of insolation is responsible for our seasons. Insolation is really the main source of energy that supports many planetary processes and makes life possible on this planet.

Insolation affects temperature. The more the insolation, the higher the temperature. Thus understanding insolation (the amount of energy that hits an area) is important in maximizing the output of solar panels which absorb and convert this energy.
