what is the importance of the universal law of gravitation? explain it through any three phenomenons

Dear Student ,

According to the universal law of gravitation , the gravitational force of attraction between two masses separated by a certain distance is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the masses.
The most important part about this is not only that objects pull on each other, but that two objects attract each other with a force that is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them
The universal law of gravitation successfully explained several phenomena which were believed to be unconnected
(i) the force that binds us to the earth.
(ii) the motion of the moon around the earth.
(iii) the motion of planets around the Sun.
(iv) the tides due to the moon and the Sun
.
