what is the importances of F0-F1 particles in ATP synthesis during aerobic respiration?

F0-F1 particle are seen in matrix and cristae of mitochondria.

The F1 head piece is a peripheral membrane protein complex, found on the outer surface of the thylakoid membrane which faces the stroma and contains the site for the synthesis of ATP from ADP and inorganic phosphate.
F0 is the integral membrane protein complex, found embedded in the thylakoid membrane and forms the channel through which facilitated diffusion of protons across the inner membrane takes place.
