What is the major difference between fundamental rights and duties

Answer to your question is as follows :

Following are the differences between fundamental rights and fundamental duties in the Indian constitution:

1.Fundamental Rights are the rights granted to the citizens of the country by the Constitution whereas Fundamental duties are certain responsibilities which every human being must carry out because of being a citizen of a country.

2.Fundamental rights have legal sanction and are enforceable by the court of law.But Fundamental duties are not enforceable by the court of law.Even if people does not follow these duties no legal action can be taken against him.

3.Fundamenal Rights are the privileges which are granted to every citizen whereas Fundamental Duties are based on accountability or responsibility.

4.Fundamental Rights can be claimed if taken away as they are recognised socially  but Fundamental Duties cannot be claimed.
