What is the Meaning of 1)Thanksgiving day
2)Winter Island

Dear Student,

We request you to mention the text, author or chapter name along with your question so that we can revert to you with a meaningful solution.
However, I believe this is what you were looking for:

1) Thanksgiving day is the national holiday in United states and Canada. It is the day to celebrate the harvest. It occurs on the fourth Thursday in the month of November. On this day family members gather and a grand feast is laid out that generally consists of turkey, bread, stuffed potatoes and pumpkin pie.

2) Winter island is connected to Salem Neck in Salem Massachusetts. It is connected by a causeway. This island was used as fishing grounds and as a safe harbour for fishing boats.  Forts were built around it to ward off any attacks from the sea. Whenever there were any attacks this island was utilised to protect the coast. It was also a home for ship building industry.

I hope this helps. We look forward to hearing from you again and helping you to the best of our abilities.

Regards
