what is the meaning of deltaaH and deltaegH ?

Dear Student,

ΔaH corresponds to enthalpy of atomisation. It may be defined as the enthalpy change accompanying the dissociation of mole of the substance completely into its atoms in the gaseous state.
For eg, H2(g) 2H(g)   aH=435.4 kJmol-1

ΔegH corresponds to electron gain enthalpy. When an electron is added to a neutral gaseous atom to convert it into an anion, the enthalpy change in the process is known as Electron Gain enthalpy.
For eg. Cl(g) + e-  Cl-(g)    eg=-349 kJ/mol
