What is the meaning of gross superficial morphological characters....???

Dear Student,
Gross superficial morphological characters are traits or characters of the organism that appear very clearly and are on its surface or surroundings. Characters that do not require any investigations of processes, they are what you see first in the organism. Some examples are: Colour of leaves, shape of a leaf, number of leaves seen on a branch etc.
