What is the meaning of vulgar fraction. Pls explain with examples.

A vulgar fraction is a rational number expressed as one integer divided by a non zero integer. Vulgar fractions is the other name of common fraction whose numerator and denominator both are integers but are not multiples of 10 whereas a decimal fraction is one whose denominator is strictly a multiple of 10. 

Example: 2/5, 5/9, 7/8, etc. are vulgar fractions. 
5/10 is not a vulgar fraction. 

A vulgar fraction can be a proper fraction or an improper fraction.
