What is the poet's complain in the poem "The Roadside stand"?

Dear student,

The window of the roadside stand is a place where the poor people owning the stand wait for the city people to halt so that they can earn some money, but no one stops there. So, sadness and helplessness of unfulfilled promises and of being fooled by the parties in power is what the poet complains about. It is the sheer apathy of the affluent poeple in power towards the plight of the poor that pains the poet.

Regards
