What is the probability of choosing a square number between 2 and 100?

I got 8/97, but an answer key says 1/12(most probably cancelling from 8/96). How is that possible?
There are total of 99 numbers from 2 and 100, and to find numbers between 2 and 100, there are a total of 97 numbers.
Did I do something wrong? Please help.

Dear student
Sample space S=3,4,...99Therefore, nS=97Let A denote the event of getting a square numberThen A=4,9,16,25,36,49,64,81nA=8Therefore,P(A)=nAnS=897
May be the answer is given wrong.
