What is the reaction between baking soda and vinegar???

NaHCO₃            +       CH₃COOH  =  CH₃COONa   +   H₂O + CO_{2
Sodium bicarbonate              Vinegar           Sodium acetate         water     carbon dioxide}

Acetic acid present in Vinegar(Acid) will react with Sodium bicarbonate (Baking soda - Base) to form sodium acetate ie sodium and acetate ions are liberated (Acid-Base reaction) with effervescence of carbon dioxide (bubble formation).
