what is the real life application of surface area and volume in real life ? ( in general )

Dear student,

In real life you could use surface area to find out how much cardboard makes up a box
Example : surface area of  cylinder is
 $$\begin{gathered} S=2\pi rh+2\pi r^2 \\ S=surface area \\ r=radius \\ h=height \end{gathered}$$$$\begin{gathered} S=2\pi rh+2\pi r^2 \\ S=surface area \\ r=radius \\ h=height \end{gathered}$$
also, you can use surface area in wrapping a gift.

In real life application volume is used in following cases
a) fuelling up
b) cooking and baking
c) Water conservation..etc
