What is the role of the chief minister and the minister of government

Chief Minister, occupies an important place in a State, being the real executive head in a state.It is the chief minister who is the head of the State government. All the members of the council are appointed by the Governor on the recommendation of the Chief Minister. It is the Chief Minister who allocates portfolios to the minister. He is the head of his cabinet, presides over its meetings determines its business to be transacted, takes all important policy decisions.
Other ministers are basically MLA's, who have been allocated different ministries.
They are also responsible for introducing bills, making policy decisions and running the government.
They are responsible and accountable to the legislative assembly.
