What is the significance of interzonal fibres during anaphase and their function??

Interzonal fibres are formed between two chromatids during anaphasic movement of disjunction. These push the chromatids towards the pole and even the discontinuos or traction fibres pull the chromatids from the pole. After separation too, the chromatids are connected only by interzonal fibres.
