What is the tow line incident in three men in a boat
There are many incidents narrated in the novel with regards to the tow-line. One such funny incident was when a young girl and a young man were seen towing a boat. The couple simply walked along the towpath deep in some interesting conversation. They carried a boat-hook between them to which they had attached a tow-line. This trailed behind them. However, in their deep conversation, they did not realize that there was no boat near them. They must have started with a boat attached to that tow-line but then they missed it somewhere and did not get to know about it. Still this fact did not disturb them at all. They simply walked on and were seen busy talking to each other. It was quite later that they realized what had happened.
