Vedic Age is the name given to the period when the Vedas were composed. This period is c. 1500 B.C to 600 B.C. The Vedas are the oldest scriptures and were composed by the semi-nomadic Aryans. The Vedic Age is further divided into Early Vedic Age (1500 B.C. to 1000 B.C.) and Later Vedic Age (1000 B.C. to 600 B.C.) While the Rig Veda was composed in the Early Vedic Age, the three other Vedas (Yajur Veda, Sama Veda and Atharva Veda) were composed in the Later Vedic Age.
