what is the water of crystallisation of plaster of paris and gypsum. why is it so?

CaSo4. xH2O is POP where x can be any integer and gypsum is formed by exessive heating of this molecule where water of crystallisation is lost and yeah once gypsum is formed no matter how much water u put into it POP cant be reformed.
