The thylakoids are membranous sacs present in stacks called grana and are present in the chloroplast. The thylakoid cotain the green pigment chlorophyll and are the main site of photosynthesis.

A capsule is the slime layer that lies outside the cell wall of some bacteria. It provides protection against immune cells and enhances the ability of bacteria to cause diseases and prevents desiccation in bacteria.

Plasmodesmata are tiny pores present on the cell wall of plant cell. These connect cytoplasm of neighbouring cells enabling transportation and communication between them.
