what is transpiration
define translocation and transportation for plants

Transpiration is the evaporation of water  from the surface of leaf cells in actively growing plants.
In genetics, the transfer of one part of a chromosome to another part of the same or a different chromosome, resulting in rearrangement of the genes is translocation. It also means the transport of minerals, sugars, etc, in solution within a plant.

Transpiration is the process of water movement through a plant and its evaporation from aerial parts, such as from leaves but also from stems and flowers. Leaf surfaces are dotted with pores called stomata, and in most plants they are more numerous on the undersides of the foliage

Transpiration - The loss of water in the form of water vapour through the stomata of leaves is called transpiration.
