What is tryptophan and how it is used???

Tryptophan is an essential amino acid which is needed for normal growths in infants and for nitrogen balance in adults. As it is an essential amino acid the body cannot produce it, so it must be provided in diet.


Function:-

The body uses tryptophan to help make niacin, melanin and the neurotransmitter serotonin.
