What is TUMOR NECROSIS FACTOR and PHOSPHOLIPASE Az

Dear student

Tumor necrosis factor is a cytokine i.e. a substance that causes inflammation in body,
They are secreted by macrophages( group of cells).
They can cause necrosis i.e. cell death of tumor cells(cancerous cells).

Phospholipase A2 is an enzyme that digest or cleaves phospholipids to form free fatty acids and lysophospholipid( it is a derivative of a phospholipid only which is formed by removing one of the acyl derivatives  by hydrolysis.)
