The United Nation Organisation was established on 24th October 1945. It has 193 countries as its members. The United Nation consists of Parliament named as the UN General Assembly headed by the Chairman. All the countries are member of this General Assembly.
The Security Council is another important body of the United Nations. They are responsible for maintaining peace and security among the nations.
 
The five permanent members of the UN have the Veto power which means to say no. It means a single from a permanent member automatically prevents the proposal from being approved.
Objectives -
The main objectives are:
-To maintain inter­national peace and security;
-To encourage international cooperation in the spheres of social, economic and cultural developments;
-To develop friendly relations among nations on principles of equal rights and self- determination;
-To recognize the fundamental rights of all people.
