What is view - counterview ?

Counter view refers to the opinion that is against the topic or is in opposition to it. 
View refers to the opinion that supports the topic.
For e.g.
Topic: a career in the movies is short-lived
For(view):

-career in film industry based on looks and age

-initially, the actors have to struggle to establish their names

-then, they struggle to beat the competition as everyday new and younger faces join the film industry

-very few roles available for middle-aged and older actors

Against(counter view):

-nowadays movies made on different themes

-roles for actors of all age groups available

-number of movies made has increased and so there is greater provision for all kinds of roles for actors

-actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Helen Mirren have proved that age is no bar for success in this career
