indhu15 and saikirank has given absolutely correct explanation. So, you can refer to it.
Here are few more things I like to add,
When a light reflect from a mirror (like convex mirror), it diverges outward, but the course of rays when produced backward they appear to come from an image, this image is called the virtual image.
An erect image is an image which is standing straight in the same direction as of the object. The explanation with ray diagram is given in the saikirank answer. So, please refer to it.

an image that is formed behind the mirror and is not real is called virtual image and erect image is the image that is straight n not upside down

VIRTUAL IMAGE :-

 
A virtual image is created by the back plane of a mirror or hologram medium. It is generally the extension of diverging rays. It is a reflected optical image.

 

ERECT IMAGE :-

  An image in which directions are the same as those in the object, in contrast to an inverted image.

virtual means which is imaginary i.e. look into mirror u see in mirror that u r behind it but acutallly it is not it;s just only seeing not happening

and erect means as object position as image position either upward or downward depending on object

2. it is always errect image.

3. image is formed behind the mirror.

 

REAL IMAGE-

1. it can be caugt on the screen.

2. it is always inverted.

3. image is infront of the mirror

 in simple language the direction of the forming image is same to the given object..is called erect iamge

 NOW VIRTUAL IMAGE,

virtual image are those images which always formed behind the mirror or lens.As its name is virtual.Virtual means not real.And virtual images are also not real. they always formed by extending the two diverging rays.
