what is web server?? plz don't paste through google... write in ur own language.....i have already gone through google but i m not satisfied....

web server is a computer which serves to web related requests of the clients with the assistance of the browser. it stores information on the computer which can be accessed by the client.

It is a server where online content is stored. It can be a software or a hardware.

Consider a web server as an container which contains lots of website. Now, when we visit any kind of website it is served(shown) to you by a web server.

In short what we do is we request web server to show us a website and satisfies www (World Wide Web) client request.
