What is wind mill explain the working of a wind generator?

Dear student,

A windmill is a machine that converts the  energy of wind  into rotational energy by means of vanes called  sails .   Originally, windmills were developed for  milling grain  for food production. In the course of history, the windmill machinery was adapted to many other industrial uses.   An important non-milling use is to pump water, either for land drainage or to extract  groundwater .

A wind generator uses the power of wind to generate electricity.
The wind generator is used to convert the energy of the spinning blades into electricity
Wind tries to rotate the blades of the turbine, which is connected to the generator, when turbine moves generator gets start and produce electricity.
So we say that kinetic energy of wind is changed into mechanical energy then into electrical energy.
