What kind of technology are e-readers?
Are they friendly to our eyes as paperbooks?

Dear Student, Both printed books and e-readers have their own advantages and disadvantages. E-readers are much more handy while reading on the go. For story books, novels e-readers are quite handy. But for course books, printed ones are preferable. These books have equations, formulas and the reader needs to back very easily to concepts in previous pages. Although it can be done by scrolling in ebooks also but sometimes it becomes quite difficult and the reader feel disconnected. However, all these observations vary from person to person. I am sharing my experience. In context to eyes printed books are better than e-readers. Although display quality has been modified greatly in e-readers like Kindle but still the uv radiation from the display is a concern. Regards
