What role does seawater play in the water cycle?

We have represented sea water as any water body from which water evaporates and this evaporated water goes up in the atmosphere and condense and precipitate as rain. It is not necessary that only sea water is involved for evaporation. Evaporation takes place from any water body by the sunlight heat.
