What role does the crow play in changing poets mood?

Dear student,

The crow represents sorrow. The dust of snow that is shaken off the hemlock tree by the crow stands for joy that Frost experiences. The crow is a contrast to the joy that the dust of snow provides the poet. he becomes a medium through which the poet experiences hope and joy which changes his mood from one of depression to one of optimism.

The crow plays a vital role in the poem. The crow was sitting on the hemlock tree flew away shooking down him the dust of snow. This incident urged the poet to forget about his problems and this saved some part of the day.
