what steps have been taken by our government to save the wildlife


For the conservation of forest and wildlife in India following steps have been taken by the government of India:
1.Setting up of various research institutes across India.
2.The Forest conservation act,1980 was passed to check indiscriminate deforestation.
3.Social forestry had come into existence.
While for conservation of wild life following steps had been taken:
Indian Board for wildlife was constituted in 1952 to protect wildlife.
The wildlife protection 1972 was passed which governs wildlife protection and conservation.
Wild life reserves had been developed for wild life protection.
