Black holes are not negative energy, they are positive energy but the particles absorbed by the holes are negative energy. Now Black holes are considered as positive energy because gravitational energy (attractive) is termed as negative energy and the total universe has constant energy, on the basis of that it is concluded that black holes are positive energy.
